We’re delighted to continue our relationship with East Village, home of the former 2012 Olympic Village. The CES maintenance teams have supported the property landlords’ Mechanical and Electrical requirements for the last four years and have recently been awarded a contract for another 12 month period. They work with landlords across the public areas of the residential and retail facilities.
We’re proud to announce that we have been awarded a three year contract for the maintenance of a landmark residential building near Vauxhall Bridge, London.
Our two-man team, including mobile in-house specialist technicians, will be responsible for the maintenance of the building’s common plant systems, supporting the landlords Mechanical and Electrical plant systems.
Independent M&E contractor Briggs & Forrester Group is on track to achieve its three-year target of building a £250m turnover business. The firm returned a pre-tax profit of £3.6m in the year to 31 October 2015, bouncing back from a £2.7m loss after clearing legacy contracts the year before.
Chairman Mike Stanton said the business was on track to deliver turnover of £195m this year after achieving revenue up 8% to £164m last year.
There was a fun atmosphere in the offices on Friday 18th March when everyone 'dressed down', or up in some cases, to raise funds for Sport Relief. Our current total stands at nearly £300 - well done everyone for supporting this worthy cause - and having some fun too! The photo shows our MEP Team at the Cartwright Gardens project sporting deeley boppers!
We’re excited to announce that the Briggs and Forrester Group will continue its sponsorship of the Family Stand at the Northants County Cricket ground. We’re looking forward to the new season starting on April 10th.
More details about this season’s fixtures can be found here http://www.northantscricket.com/
Good luck everyone for the coming season!
Congratulations to Junior Mechanical Engineer Dawood Seedat who has been awarded the East Midlands Student of the Year 2015 by CIBSE. We spoke to Dawood recently following the presentation of the award:
Torrential rain didn’t put visitors off at a recent careers fair at Northampton College; over 1,000 students attended and many of them visisted the Briggs & Forrester stand.
Events like this are a perfect way for our team to chat with students about the exciting opportunities and career potential with Briggs & Forrester. They met some fantastic people who are already engaged and interested in engineering, mechanical and electrical disciplines and hope to stay in contact with them, looking for our team of the future!
We’re very proud to launch our new Group brochure and corporate websites!
As we head towards our 70th year, our new look reflects our experience and reputation, with a focus on the future.
A big thank you to everyone involved!
Our teams in Bristol and Birmingham supported two local charities last year, Above & Beyond in Bristol, and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Their fundraising efforts, including Dress Down Friday’s, a Grand Raffle and a weekly football card competition, raised the fantastic total of £1,000 which was split equally between the two charities. Well done everyone!
