Briggs & Forrester Group have received certification from Exova BM TRADA who have approved the ISO 14001:2015 Management System operated by the Group.
This accreditation demonstrates that Briggs and Forrester Group are committed to ensuring Environmental responsibility and improvement. To tackle the task of integrating an Environmental Management System into the business, a Group Environmental Advisor was employed in 2016. Their role has been to address the organisation’s environmental impact through gaining the ISO 14001 accreditation. Environmental Awareness Training has been dispersed to all sectors of the business in the aim to provide all employees with awareness of their environmental impact at work.
Natalie Sharp, Group Environmental Advisor said: “Communication of all of the environmental changes to the company has been paramount and the Board of Directors are fore fronting the change. The Senior Management has taken responsibility in the building of the Environmental Management System and helped to input environmental processes and procedures throughout the organisation.
“Through assessing the Group’s environmental risks, many opportunities for improvement have been identified and developed upon. Employees are also coming up with ideas on how the organisation can improve their environmental impact. It is great that all levels of staff are on board and interested in improving the way we work. We are at the beginning of a journey to embed environmental matters in all corners of our business and with everyone’s interest and innovation will have a continuing, positive effect on our environment”
