13th June 2018

Tony Sambridge, Business Development Director and Harry Roe, Business Development Manager for CES recently took part in the Jack Mudd Memorial Golf Day, which was held at Knebworth Golf Club on Friday 25th May.

This is an annual event organised by one of our clients and CES are delighted to be invited back each year. This year there were 120 golfers, making 30 teams of 4 competing on the day with the winning team scoring a total of 89 points; CES finished in 25th place with a final score of 70… our best yet!

Cannon Street London

CES have been awarded the M&E maintenance contract for a new Commercial development on Cannon Street, London, expanding their portfolio within the Commercial sector in the capital.

The building comprises 11 floors of commercial office space with multiple tenants. CES will maintain the central services to landlords and common areas throughout the building as well as in some tenanted areas.

The contract will be managed from our London office and services delivered by CES mobile engineers and our specialist service partners

Continuing our strong start to the year, CES are delighted to announce the recently secured M&E maintenance contract at a large site in Cambridge.

The contract comprises four commercial buildings across two sites, all occupied by the same tenant and CES will deliver full M&E services to all buildings. This contract further strengthens CES' presence in the Cambridge area and adds to their expanding portfolio within the Commercial sector in the city.

8th May 2018

CES are proud to have been appointed as the new provider of the M&E Planned Preventative Maintenance Services across a 12-site portfolio in the north of England with a large managing Agent, further strengthening CES' stance in the commercial sector.

The portfolio comprises 12 sites throughout the North East & North West, allowing CES to continue strong and steady growth in both regions.

The contract commenced in April 2018 and will be delivered via the CES team of mobile engineers and specialist service partners.

3rd May 2018

CES have been awarded the M&E maintenance contracts for two large developments in central London. Both developments were installed by Briggs & Forrester and will add to CES' expanding portfolio within the Residential sector in the capital.

The developments are made up of a number of apartment blocks and CES will maintain the central services to landlords and common areas in each.

The contract will be managed from our London office and services delivered by CES on-site engineers specialist service partners.

The Briggs and Forrester Group has been awarded the Greener Path Award for ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ from ACM Environmental PLC for the third year running.

ACM Environmental PLC is a recycling-led waste management company who helps their clients both to reduce the cost of their waste and harness the profit in it. Their Greener Path Awards celebrate the work businesses are doing to reduce the impact they have on the environment.  Businesses who demonstrate exemplary effort and achievement in minimising waste, boosting recycling and increasing landfill diversion are recognised. 

25th April 2018

For a number of years Combined Energy Solutions has been working with Places for People; a leisure Centre chain operating throughout the entirety of the UK. Since the start of 2018 CES have added a further six centres to their current portfolio, building on an already strong relationship.

With the inclusion of these six new sites, CES now provides PPM services and reactive works for 80 Places for People centres across the country. CES oversee the provision of specialist combustion, refrigeration and associated plant and controls maintenance services at each site.

H&V News Awards Winners 2018

The Briggs & Forrester Group has won three coveted awards at this year’s H&V News Award.

The results of the H&V News Awards were revealed on 19th April at the esteemed Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, where over 1,000 of the HVAC industry elite came together for a night of recognition and celebration of the sector’s achievements.

On the 22nd April, Matt Dickerson Special Projects, is running this year’s London Marathon for Northampton’s Autism Concern charity.

His longest run of 23 miles has recently been completed and he’s clocked up a total of 300 miles since January.

Matt said, “I am running the London Marathon to help raise awareness of autism and to provide more exposure of this Northampton based charity. I have two nephews on the Autistic Spectrum so know first-hand what fantastic support Autism Concern provides, not just to them but to the 1000's of other people affected across the county.”

Last week, one of Combined Energy Solutions resident technicians, Steve Blake, won the annual Sport Relief bake-off at the Volvo HQ in Maidenhead.

Entries included, shortbread biscuits, orange drizzle cake, Pina Colada cupcakes and Steve’s Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Easter fruit cake.

Against stiff competition, Steve came first place, having been scored by only one Judge on taste - as the other didn’t like fruit cake! Only 0.5 points split 1st and 3rd place so it was very close but Steve came out on top.
